FINALLY BACK!

HEY! I missed all of you! Sorry my email was not working and just barely started working again. This new way of being able to communicate with the family is very interesting, it had me shocked! I think it will do a lot of good for missionaries out in the field to not feel so homesick!

Last wednesday i was so sick (not homesick, cold-sick) I had to sharpen the saw for a bit so that i could heal. It was so funny that cold took me out so hard but wow did i heal really fast; priesthood blessings are real! I have had a cough though since and the "best thing" about coughs is that they always seem to the "best" when you're asleep or in bed (i hope you can all relate). Right before i had fallen all the way asleep one night i made Elder Morris scared by a sudden cough attack that honestly sounded like the hacking of a zombie! As soon as it started happening i sprinted out of the room so i could finish. We had a good laugh about it the next day because of how hideous i sounded. It was as if i was possessed by my cough and it through me out the room! I know that it is probably way unnecessarily descriptive but it gave me a great laugh! ðŸ˜‚

I had some good opportunities to help missionaries and serve them in our exchanges this past week and a half. I went with an elder and we had a good time. He is really struggling with tagalog  and it brings him down. He is a great missionary though and in the exchanges actually taught me something that they do in their area where they teach less actives and get referrals from them. It was good because he was feeling really down but i felt prompted to go somewhere and try something he does in his area so i gave him the opportunity to teach me and show me something new which helped him gain confidence in himself again.

I love being able to serve and being able to help others.

sorry this one is short! i will give a better one next week! love you all!

TEMPLE PDAY

I was so happy to be back at the temple today! we woke up at about 2:30 to get up and going so i have been awake already for a total of twelve hours and it is only halfway through the day! However, i feel great! Honestly, i love the temple. knowing that there is a way for husband and wife to be married for forever and not just "until death do [they] part" that is incredible!

*side comment* only in the philippines do you sit in the computer shop and start pushing a cat away so it doesnt rub up against you

any-hoooo! this week was also such a great week! we had so many miracles! I might keep this one short because i dont have much time but we will see!

Basically we just have a ton of progression and miracles happening!

I dont know if you remember anything about the Arellano family? sister Arellano is just the ANGEL that is constantly giving us referrals and is a big reason to why we have so many progressing investigators. Also her husband is finally getting baptized after a year! she has waited so patiently and faithfully! Manolo has been an amazing help to and although he is shy, is starting to work with us and help us! we were in a lesson teaching a new family ( a mother and daughter) Jacky and Nimfa and he told them that if they will read the Book of Mormon that they will come to know their concern because they are willing to be baptized but they really want to know if this is right first. The way he said it was so sincere though that it really helped them know what to do! because of his righteousness he was guided in what to say!

Grace is still going strong and we thought that we were just going to baptize her but then a miracle happened and now one of her kids wants to be baptized! we are hoping that other will feel the same way!

I got to go because i am running out of time but we had such a great week this week! so many miracles and we feel that God is making His work happens and we know it is because of our faith and his love!

I love you all!

BOOM, BANG, BAM!!!

BOOMBANGBAM! another miracle filled week! Elder Olpin and i go home everyday so tired and ready for sleep! It is crazy because i have not had time for a personal study or language study in FOREVER! But it is because Elder Olpin and i are constantly trying to help out our fellow missionaries and our plans just keep getting switched around but we are loving the mission and having so much fun together!

Last Monday we celebrated our 18 months in the field with some delicious ice cream and of course a box of large pizza hut to ourselves. it was incredible. we just sat down and ate which honestly consists of what i like to do on the mission when there is time to relax. We then also went to the Mata family and taught the Plan of Salvation to them. it was good but the dad (who is not a member) just doesnt really care too much to be baptized with his family. However is down to play basketball on our next pday.

On Tuesday Elder Olpin and i gave our workshop on that Faith is Power. The whole zone is committed to help 100 people enter into the kingdom of God for the month of march! We are really excited and the whole zone is already working really hard and so focused on their purpose! I love our purpose as a missionary to help others come unto Christ! Following the meeting we had a cool language training meeting for the Filipinos to practice english and foreigners to practice tagalog. it is a program that my last companion and i made and the first week was good! i loved seeing the Filipino missionaries excited to learn and practice english! They loved it when i commented on their english and helped them out. A lot of people struggle with learning a new language so we are hoping this will help a lot of new missionaries and ones that want to improve. We had a great visit with Jing Jing again and with her daughter Jean. We talked about the Book of Mormon and they have been reading and praying and have come to know that what we are teaching is true! it is awesome because they said that they want to get baptized and we are so excited for them. Everytime we visit them we can see the light in their eyes as they are so happy with experiencing the restored gospel.

On Wednesday we got to have a family home evening with the Macatol family and we are excited that they are continuing to come to church and are coming closer and closer unto Christ. We taught them this lesson about the importance with reading, praying and going to church by using three spoons and three cups to make a foundation! it represented how those three things will create a foundation of our faith on Jesus Christ.

On Thursday we had exchanges with the Elders in Bagong Silang and we had a good time. the owner of their apartment however went and forced us to all help her get coconuts down from some trees so that took a chunk of our study time out but we had a good time helping her out. We are not too sure why she needed the coconuts anyway because she ended up just offering us the coconuts and because i love coconuts and she was this sweet little old lady i couldnt say no so i had to haul the coconuts back to our house which was so tiring! but the day was fun. Elder Panga and i worked and i was able to help him and teach him a little bit about leading areas and finding people to teach effectively.

On friday we visited with Grace and she accepted a baptismal date! we are excited to teach her and she just accepts whatever we tell her but we are really hoping that her testimony will grow and that she has one of her own. I had  feeling that we should go back to Estrella an old investigator and we did and it was a really good that we did because she has been needing help and is struggling with her son who is not doing good things and is really worrying her but we listened to her and were able to have a good lesson with her.

On Saturday we had a really busy day and taught Jelyn again with her family and we are so happy they are finally progressing! We also taught Monchie again and her daughter Andrea and she was so happy to see us. I really loved teaching the Plan of Salvation to them. We focused on eternal families and how their family cna be together forever and she says that she really loves the Book of Mormon and feels good whenever she reads it and we are so happy for her! She and her daughter also accepted to follow the gospel and be baptized! We gave her another book of mormon in english and she loved it so much and got so happy! that made us happy to see her love to read the Book of Mormon

Sunday we taught Jean and Jing Jing again and taught them the Plan of Salvation and they loved it. you could tell that as we testified about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and as we talked about the Resurrection that they could feel the peacefulness of the message we taught! The spirit was there!

This week was such a good week. I am so happy that we were able to teach the Plan of Salvation to our investigators. I know that through this plan they were blessed with a more eternal perspective! My testimony was also strengthened on the happiness of staying obedient so that we can be sealed with our families for forever. I love not having to question what will happen after a die and if i will see my family because i know what God's plan is and I know that the obedience to the Gospel of Jesus Christ is our purpose here.

I love you all so much and am so grateful for every one of you!
